You can literally make this creamy smoked mackerel pâté while your toast is toasting, and it is just so so good!
Put the fish, juice from half a lemon, crème fraîche, sea salt, cream cheese and horseradish into a blender and blitz for a minute until smooth, any small bones will just blend in.
Pile it onto buttered sourdough toast and serve with rocket, black pepper and a squeeze of lemon
