Smoked mackerel and horseradish pâté

You can literally make this creamy smoked mackerel pâté while your toast is toasting, and it is just so so good!

Ingredients

  • 2 smoked mackerel fillets
  • 1 tablespoon of horseradish sauce, I use Tracklements
  • 2 tablespoons of crème fraîche
  • 2 tablespoon of cream cheese
  • tiny bit of sea salt
  • half a lemon and another half for serving
  • coarse ground black pepper

Instructions

Put the fish, juice from half a lemon, crème fraîche, sea salt, cream cheese and horseradish into a blender and blitz for a minute until smooth, any small bones will just blend in.

Pile it onto buttered sourdough toast and serve with rocket, black pepper and a squeeze of lemon
