Gorgonzola, apple and walnut salad

Creamy gorgonzola with sharp but sweet apple (or use pear if you have pears, I didn’t) and crunchy walnuts.

I squeezed fresh orange over it with lifted the flavours beautifully.

  • handful of chopped lettuce
  • a few fresh basil leaves
  • 80g of Gorgonzola cheese
  • 1 crispy apple, thinly sliced (or pear)
  • handful of walnut halves
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • splash of white balsamic vinegar
  • squeeze of fresh orange
  • sea salt


Combine the ingredients on a plate or in a shallow dish, drizzle the olive oil and balsamic over, give it a good squeeze of orange juice and sprinkle on some sea salt.
