Reviving chocolate milk

Next time you do a hard workout forget chugging down a load of expensive chemical gloop recovery drink and just blend up a glass of ice cold chocolate milk.

It has everything you need – protein, carb, vitamins and minerals, all in the perfect ratio.

Ingredients

  • 400ml whole milk, preferably unhomogenised, such as Duchy from Waitrose or Jersey Milk
  • 1 tbsp of quality cocoa powder, or melt 35g of dark chocolate and blend it in, but you’ll need a bit more ice!
  • 1 tsp of sugar (don’t panic, you’ll live!)
  • a few ice cubes

Instructions

Stick it all in the blender and whizz.

Listen to your muscles shout in delight as their mouths drink in all that reviving goodness.
