Apple porridge

Oats and their wonderful beta glucans made into creamy porridge with whole milk and honey, topped with warm apples.

Ingredients

  • 50g of porridge oats
  • 250ml whole organic milk
  • squeeze of clear honey
  • knob of butter
  • 1 eating apple, cored and chopped into wedges or a few slices of frozen Bramley apple
  • optional dash of cream

Instructions

Heat the oats and milk in a saucepan, stirring until it becomes creamy porridge, it only takes a few minutes. If you need to add more milk feel free.

In another small pan fry the apple in a knob of butter with a tiny splash of boiling water until slightly softened.

Stir a squeeze of honey into the porridge and serve with the apples on top and a dash of cream if you like!
